A coffee house, a scratch bakery, a full kitchen.

Crave is Kingston's largest independently-owned and operated coffee house — and behind the espresso bar, a scratch bakery and full-service kitchen run all day. Specialty coffee at the front, cakes pulled from the oven out back, and lunch service in between.

We're at 166 Princess Street, in the heart of downtown. Whether you're stopping in for a flat white, ordering a custom cake, or booking catering for an office or wedding, every part of the menu comes out of the same kitchen — by the same team.

Three things we obsess over: the coffee, the bakes, and the room. The rest takes care of itself.

Do you have wifi and seating to work? +
Yes — free wifi, real outlets, and plenty of two-tops along the windows. Mornings are quieter; we get busier between 11 and 1.
Are you dog-friendly? +
Patio dogs are very welcome. For health regulations we can't host pups inside the cafe, but we always have a water bowl out front.
Do you offer dairy-free, gluten-free, or vegan options? +
Always. Oat, almond, and coconut milk at no upcharge. Several vegan pastries daily, and a rotating gluten-free option from our bakery team.
Can I order ahead for pickup? +
Yes — order on the website and we'll have it ready when you arrive. Most orders are ready within 8 minutes.
Do you cater meetings, weddings, or events? +
We do, regularly. Coffee airpots, pastry platters, and full bakery boxes. Send us a note through the catering form below — we'll get back within one business day.
